Well running in 110 degree weather could be worse. It could be 115 degree weather.

Ran to Provo high school to use their track, but turns out that they are re doing it. So I did the workout on their practice field which is pretty close to a track. Good workout.

Ran to the top of webb hill twice. Good workout. I wasn't happy about not being able to keep up with the top guys all the way to the top both times, but I gotta keep pushing myself.

Had 4x1 mile dirt repeats in the morning. My pace was set at 6:38, but I went 6:03 the first one and then about 6:15 the last 3. Everyone was flying. It was an easier workout, I felt pretty good afterwards, I mainly focused on staying relaxed, I tend to get tense when I get really tired. I was quite ahead of Bridger the whole time, which made me feel good, even though we weren't going all out haha. I'm excited for this season, if I keep pushing myself, good things will happen.

9.5 mile trail run this morning on the Arizona strip. It was good, but my legs were pretty tired afterwards. Easy 3 in the afternoon.

Good workout in the morning at Bloomington Hills North Park. Everyone is looking really good. There is a little gap between the top A group boys and the rest of the guys, I'm trying to get up there with them. 

 

Right after practice I had seminary council stuff until 2:15, and then I went to practice again, but my shoes were locked in Ben's car from this morning, so I had to run the 3 miles in my socks (cause the asphalt was too hot to go barefoot). I'd rather not do that again.

Next time you have something like this happen, just run on the grass or on the turf! You are doing great. Seriously, keep it up.

Got some new shoes

2 mile warm up and 40 minute tempo run. I ended up rolling my ankle in the middle of it, so it was hurting. I stopped when we got to the cars, so I didn't go the full 40 minutes. I wish I could have gone the whole 40 minutes, I was feeling pretty good up until I rolled my ankle. I've been icing it, and I'll look to be be back next week without it bothering me.

Did mayor's loop this morning with Bridger and Ben, it was fun, I love running with those guys. My ankle is a little sore from yesterday, so I'm going to keep icing it, and later on today I'm going to do some swimming.

Race today. Ran a 19:09. Wasn't happy with it, my 3 mile time during the 10k I ran a few weeks back was faster. I knew I could have done so much more. I just wasn't in the mindset of racing. Things will be different this weekend at Hurricane.

Easy 4 mile run today after school. There's a meet in Hurricane tomorrow. I've been taking the last couple mornings off for morning runs because I've just been so out of it and so exhausted. I don't know what it is. I'm just going to keep focusing on the little things and see what happens

Had to do the workout later tonight. I only did 5 of the 10 repeats because it was pitch black and I didn't feel very safe running alone on the trails behind the school where no one could see me.. But the workout was a lot easier in cooler weather. The first one I did it in 1:52, then i went 1:57-1:58 on the last ones.

I did a 1600m time trial today. I did it in 5:34. Which is 5 seconds slower than I did it back in January.

Not being able to run these last few days blows, but i'm still feeling sick and I had to go up north for All-state choir

Still not feeling well, 7 hours of all-state choir rehearsals left me extremely drained. I fell asleep in the middle of singing!
